Rice Family
There are sessions that feel more like joy than work and this was one of them! The Rice family have been clients of mine for a few years now and I adore their family; they are #FamilyGoals for sure!
On a overcast and windy Florida evening just weeks after Hurricanes Helene and Milton, I met this radiant family of six on the shores of Indian Beach. With the waves rolling in behind us and the sky painted in soft blush and peach, this beach session was the perfect backdrop to capture what makes this family so incredibly special—the bond of four sisters, the best girl dad, and a one-of-a-kind momma full of love.
From the moment they stepped onto the sand, barefoot and beaming, their joy was pure magic!
I love this family because they find big love in the little things. Not only are they just absolutely stunning, their love and excitement for life is truly contagious. This session wasn’t just about portraits—it was about connection, love and laughter. Of course that came easy, movement was natural (which is a photographer favvvvv!), and the love between them radiated in every direction. The older girls had a beautiful rhythm with their younger sisters—protective, gentle, and joyfully playful. And tell me you can’t see the deep pride in mom and dad as they soak in every second of this chapter!?!
Mom always coordinates outfits beautifully and she nailed it with these soft beach tones with sage greens, terracottas, and neutrals. They blended effortlessly into the sandy shores and ocean blues. And because outfits are obviously an important part of styling, the camera naturally finds them as the focal point and center without distractions of confusing clothing choices.
Their warmth and closeness, paired with the way they walked together down the shoreline like they were writing their own little fairytale.. its what photographer dreams are made of!
Photographing this family reminded me that these are the moments we want to bottle up forever—the ones that seem ordinary in real time, but glow with meaning when we look back.
So here’s to the wild, beautiful blessing of raising girls.
Here’s to the noise, the dance parties, the sand between toes, and the arms wrapped tightly around each other.
Here’s to sisterhood, loving parents and memories to last a lifetime.
